Too many drinks within a given period can put a person above the legal BAL limit for driving. In the state of Texas, persons driving with a blood alcohol level (BAL) of .08% or above may be charged with the crime of driving while intoxicated (DWI). Persons under the age of 21 who drive with any detectable amount of alcohol can be charged with DWI. If charged with this crime, you’ll need an effective, comprehensive blood alcohol defense.

If the results of your blood alcohol test or breath test are above .08, it does not necessarily mean that you were above the legal Texas BAL limit.
